Mr Dhiren Nehra is a Consultant Surgeon at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals. He specialises in laparoscopic and general gastrointestinal surgery. He completed his higher surgical training in UK but has gained vast experience by working in USA with Professor Dr DeMeester and National Cancer Centre in Japan and more recently a year sabbatical in New Zealand.
Training and research has always been important aspect of his career. He has been a London Deanery Surgical Tutor for many years and has taught in many countries such as India, Malawi and Romania. His research work was carried in USA and specialised in reflux, biliary, and hernia surgery. He has developed his own technique for mini-incision inguinal hernia repair and incisional hernia repair. He has been accredited to carry out the new anti-reflux magnetic titanium ring LINX® implant procedure in UK.
